One of the many coke ovens that still exist in the Ranch Road area of Dunbar. Part of the Mahoning Mine which operated from 1872 until at least 1903 when the mine was combined with the Atlas Mine. Today these ovens exist in a beautiful, although overgrown setting in various states of repair. There were 100 coke ovens at this location. Attempts have been made to preserve them but they are scheduled to be bulldozed sometime in the future.
